Crochet #3
I picked this white lace
playsuit up earlier on in the year, knowing full well it would be a favourite as
soon as the slightest bit of sun made an appearance. The playsuit aspect makes
it really easy to wear whilst the little lace cut-out around the waist makes it
a bit more evening appropriate when thrown on with some heels. The perfect
day-to-night essential.

Crochet #2
Yet another pair of crochet
shorts. ..they’re a bit of an obsession. Unlike the H&M ones below however,
this black ZARA pair are a slightly more wearable colour and, paired with these
boots, make a practical yet stylish festival outfit. At least with shorts, you
can dance away without the risk of flashing too much- a definite added bonus!

Crochet #1
Although the summer may be
drawing to a close, there’s still a few more festivals up for grabs to make the
most of the last of the sunshine. Anything crochet is perfect for achieving
the care free festival look- playsuits, shorts, you name it!

Although these H&M crochet
white shorts may not be the most practical when trekking through knee deep mud,
all practicality aside, they really are the cutest shorts ever. Plus the
elasticated waist makes them feel like pyjamas- always handy!
L-R: Shirt- Urban Outfitters, Shorts- H&M, Bag- ZARA, Boots- Bershka.

Out of the Blue
My love of anything turquoise has grown into quite an
obsession over the past few years. It all began with that turquoise ring on the finger of Caggie Dunlop from Made In Chelsea (remember her?). Something about it just looked so summery and bohemian
and oh so cool. Since the Caggie
Effect took hold, I’ve been hooked on anything blue and my turquoise treasures have
continued to collect ever since.

Ripped Jeans: #3
I’ve had this shirt for getting
on 4 years now and it’s still one of the most worn items of clothing that I own!
The painter/decorator ‘oversized’ look is definitely the one I gravitate
towards almost every weekend. Super easy to wear whilst still looking like you haven’t tried too hard. Paired with this ZARA fringed bag (do I own a bag that isn’t from ZARA?) and you’re good to go- without looking like you’re handy with a paintbrush.

Ripped Jeans: #2
The amount of jewels I’ve had
to superglue back on to this necklace is a serious testimony to the amount I’ve
worn it over the past few months. It just manages to jazz up my standard, go to
outfit of jean/t-shirt/boots into something that little bit dressier.
Thrown on
with this ZARA blue bag, the outfit has a pop of colour whilst still being one
of the most comfy looks in my wardrobe.

Ripped Jeans: #1
As much as I love the delicate,
feminine look of a lace blouse, the complete hassle and stress that comes with trying
to find a suitable cami to go underneath as to prevent from giving the whole
world an eyeful does, on a day to day basis, cause me to reach for an easy t-shirt
nine times out of ten. Plus, the high risk levels of lace snagging involved at
every corner and the inevitability of having to hand wash it at every wear is
enough to put anyone off.
Despite all the reasons that clearly show why I
should take a step back from anything lace related, the combination of this
beautiful ZARA blouse with these jeans seems to make its inconveniency all
worthwhile. Nice for a night out, I’ve paired mine with these ZARA heels to
keep things girly!

Ripped Jeans
Over the next week, I'm going to be uploading three different ways to style ripped jeans! Hopefully, this will become a bit of a theme and I can focus on a different item each week...
The Topshop Leigh Jean family
have managed to gain yet another addition in the form of these much adored black
ripped jeans. They are super easy to dress up or down, whilst also managing to
retain the comfort of a pair of leggings that the infamous Leighs are so renowned
for. Pair them with a pair of heels for a night out or a faithful Urban Outfitters
denim shirt for a more laid back look and you’re good to go.

My First Blog Post
It’s definitely daunting sitting down here to write my very first blogpost but I’m super excited to get going on all things blogging related! Blogging is something that had always appealed to me after being an avid reader of various fashion and beauty blogs for years. Therefore, seeing as I could ramble on about fashion until the cows come home, I thought it would only make sense for me to combine my two passions together and finally get to grips with creating a blog of my own! The end result was ‘On My Sleeve’; somewhere that will hopefully be a means to express everything I love about the world of fashion and beauty. Hope you enjoy! x
