To take this
look through to the evening, I’ve paired this little lace number with my
go to Pull & Bear statement
necklace and wrist cuff (they’re turquoise, surprise,
surprise) to inject a very rare pop of colour. Black jeans make any outfit
that little bit more formal, so these
H&M ones in combination with my favourite ZARA heels are a perfect match.

The Lace Top: Day
To
start off, I’m really sorry for the lack of posts recently! School has been
crazy busy but hopefully things will start to calm down now my personal
statement is raring to go (famous last words!). In between juggling UCAS with
the everyday errands of school however, I have
naughtily managed to squeeze in a little Forever
21 shop. This lace blouse is the perfect day-to-night piece, so much so
that there is another post headed your way on how I take it from this casual
look to something a little dressier for the evening. In the daytime, you can’t
go wrong with layering it with as much silver/ turquoise jewellery as you can
get your hands on- it just gives it that super chilled, bohemian vibe that
makes me lust for summer! I also seem to be living in ripped jeans at the
moment so these H&M ones, paired
with these staple black-heeled boots have been a winning combination recently.
Look out for how this look can be made evening ready next week!

The New Coat
Despite the fact that winter has only just come knocking, this
little number has been safely tucked away in my wardrobe since the end of
August, just waiting for the first sense of a cold, frosty morning. When I saw it on
the Missguided website all them weeks ago, I really couldn't resist. I've been
on the hunt for a camel coat, ever since spying one on the ever so stylish Kim Kardashian last year, hoping to clock one that was a little more within my
price range. Where there's a will, there's a way, and sure enough I came across
this one for no more that £35- bargain! The tailored fit of this jacket means
it can be dressed up for an evening out or paired with my standard H&M
jeans, a plain white tee and heeled boots for a more casual look. Whatever the occasion,
this coat is a definite staple within any Autumn/Winter wardrobe.

What's In My Bag
Since
picking up this Accessorize number a
few months ago, I’ve had the perfect excuse to fill it up with all those ‘handbag
essentials’ that really are not all
that necessary at all (who needs THREE lip products?!). Despite my bag now
being completely weighed down with various hand creams, these are some of the
bits and bobs that manage to make their way with me, everywhere I go…

Boyfriend Jeans #3
A blue cotton shirt is a
definite staple in my wardrobe, whatever the weather. This H&M one however is an autumn essential- super chic and
perfect for layering when it starts to get a bit chilly. Paired with some ZARA heels, the outfit manages to hold
on to its femininity ,whilst the shirt and jeans also puts a spin on that much
desired, ‘androgynous’ trend. Easy, peasy.

Boyfriend Jeans #2
Slouchy is definitely the way
to go for any problematic ‘smart casual’
dress code. A pair of strappy ASOS
heels and a bright Pull&Bear clutch
help to dress up the look, whilst the distressed denim keeps things from
looking like you’ve tried too hard.

Boyfriend Jeans #1
If you’d have told me a year
ago that come autumn, I would have been reaching for my boyfriend jeans over my
trusty Topshop Leighs, I wouldn’t
have believed you. After all, we’ve all been scarred by denim disasters (boot
cut jeans anyone?) so I tend to play it safe and stick to cuts that won’t make
me cringe in years to come. However, fast track a few months and boyfriend
jeans are proving themselves to be an exception to the denim rule. These MANGO ones look put together without
looking like you’ve gone too overkill
with the distressed look and the comfort of them is definitely an added bonus.
I must admit, they are still a bit of a danger zone for me; go too boyfriend
baggy and you run the risk of looking a little too MC Hammer for my liking. The
slim fit of this MANGO style however still manages to keep things relatively snug
and far, far away from any unwanted ‘can’t
touch this’ references. Sounds like a winner to me…
Perfect for a lazy Sunday, the
distressed denim and t-shirt keeps the look still in touch with that laid-back
vibe, whilst the pumps and Mini ZARA
City Bag help to dress it up a notch. Much more ‘slouchy chic’ and a little
less like you’ve literally just rolled out the door in your boyfriend’s clothes.
